Before you can handle to though shots you have to have the right equipment. This golf series begins with a discussion of how to "pack your bag," your golf bag that is. From there, the series covers special and some challenging shots and the various techniques to maximize the effectiveness of the swing.
Golf Tips: What's in Your Golf Bag? - Having everything needed for an effective game is essential. Having the clubs you need in your bag, along with other essentials, is a must. Clubs need to be chosen carefully according to the course. Coach talks about how to "pack your bag" based on multiple factors from the course to the weather.
Golf Tips: What's in Your Golf Bag? - Part Two - How do you determine which clubs to take? That's what you'll learn here. Equipment needs to fit not only conditions, but also the golfer's style of play. Be sure to include a tool for marking your golf ball - you sure don't want a penalty!
Golf Tips: 100 Yards and In - Part One - In this video segment, Coach discusses how to make effective shots in the 100 yard or less range. "Everything has to be smaller at this distance," including the stance. Stance, swing, and grip for the shorter shot are discussed in this segment.
Golf Tips: 100 Yards and In - Part Two - Looking at shots in the 40 to 65 yard range, Coach looks at the back swing and follow through. Then, shots are made from various course positions, as Coach discusses club selection and swing.
Golf Tips: Downhill Lie - Adjustments to swing and stance for a downhill lie shot are demonstrated in this golfing video. The golfer is still accelerating through the swing, but the angle of contact is essential.
Golf Tips: Sidehill Lie - The most common mistake in dealing with a sidehill lie is the tendency to pull the swing. Also, a balanced stance is essential to minimize the risk of a fade.
Golf Tips: Bunker Play - Part One - Every golfer has a unique technique for bunker play, but the fundamentals are the same. The shoulder angle is consistent with the ground, weight is going on the left side, and the golfer is turning through with a big follow through. Coach also discusses bunker versus rough play.
Golf Tips: Bunker Play - Part Two - How to handle the egg lie in the bunker or an actual buried lie are discussed in this last segment of the series. The important thing is to commit to the shot and follow through.
